The word "Englisc" pays homage to Old English tradition - our very early ancestors referred to themselves as the "Englisc". The White Dragon is the ancient symbol of the Englisc dating as far back as the birth of England itself and pre-dating the Cross of St George by many hundreds of years. Established 449 - its an important date. Traditionally this date is regarded as the beginning of the Anglo-Saxon era. It marks the coming of the Englisc the people who were to lay the foundation stones of the modern English nation and everything else that was to spring from it.
