That Dragon.....The Senlak White Dragon logo is derived from The White Dragon of the Anglo-Saxons - the oldest known emblem of the English dating back well over a millennia.
Angelcynn Outfitters.....Angelcynn - (the kin of the English) is the Old English (Anglo-Saxon) word for the English people or nation.
The Hammer.....The Vikings called him Thor. To the English he was Thunor – the powerful God of Thunder. His symbol represents his battle hammer Mjolnir and is an age old symbol of our English heritage. Thunor was the God of the common man and often sided with mortals against other Gods. He is remembered by us in the fourth day of the week Thursday (Thunor’s Day) as well as in many place names across England. Thunor was one of the most venerated of all the English Gods and his hammer was worn by our forefathers as a symbol of protection, strength and courage. It us often found in the graves of our early heathen ancestors.
That Arrow.....The arrow shape that appears on many of our labels is the runic symbol for the early English god Tiw. We name Tuesday after him (Tiw's Day). His symbol was said to evoke honour and courage and he was the protector of all warriors, but was also said to watch over the disabled, and the left-handed.
Established 449 - its an important date. Traditionally this date is regarded as the beginning of the Anglo-Saxon era. It marks the coming of the Englisc the people who were to lay the foundation stones of the modern English nation and everything else that was to spring from it.
Those Axes - Crossed Huscarl axes logo on left chest along with Est. 449. The huscarl were the feared front line warriors of the early English army. Their preferred weapon was the fearsome double handed battle axe which also came to symbolise the high position that they held in society.
