Arguably one of the most iconic images of early English history. This tee shows the legendary helmet of King Raedwald - one of the first Bretwaldas or overlords of all the English tribes. He ruled from around 599 to 624.

When he died, they didn’t just bury him - they laid his body in a ship with a hoard of weapons, armour, and treasure, then raised a massive burial mound over it. His kit was decked out with gold and garnets, the kind of bling only a proper king gets. The treasure is now housed at the British museum.
